The Bible rarely gives us age examples in regards to marriage.

We do know that Abraham was 10 years older than Sarah.

The Bible tells us, “Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said to himself, ‘Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old?

Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child? While we are given this example, there are no other examples in the Bible where both individuals’ ages are given.

You have shown your last kindness to be better than the first by not going after young men, whether poor or rich” (Ruth ).

In searching the Bible for documented marriages, we don’t find any that can sway us into an accurate direction or give us an idea as to what God may be leading us to.

The Hebrews were forbidden to marry Canaanites and other pagan peoples (Exodus -16; Deuteronomy 7:1-3).

The reason was because those people worshipped idols, not because of race; the Hebrews, Amorites, Canaanites, etc. The apostle Paul encouraged Christians not to marry unbelievers (2 Corinthians ), but here again, the reason was religious, not racial.

Jesus and His apostles taught that we must respect and show compassion for all people of God's creation without regard to artificial distinctions like race and nationality.

In His Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke -37), Jesus told of a Samaritan man who was kind to a Jewish man even thought they were enemies of different religions, nationalities and racial backgrounds.

At the end, Jesus tells us, " You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
